A property with serious mould issues across multiple rooms, damaged ceilings, worn-out plaster, and windows and doors in need of repair. The brief was simple: strip everything back, treat the mould, replaster, redecorate, and hand it over ready for the next tenant.
All affected areas were treated for mould using a clear mould spray to PVCu and GRP surfaces, followed by a GRP cleaner coat and a full glass-and-buff clean. Ceilings were stripped, dry-lined with 12.5mm thermalboard on treated softwood battens, and finished with a skim coat. Stain block was applied to all plastered surfaces before decoration.
Old wallpaper was stripped throughout, and all walls were hacked back and replastered with a fresh 3mm skim coat. Damaged brickwork was raked out and repointed, and every surface was prepped and finished ready for decoration.
Doors were overhauled, rehung, and adjusted throughout the property. Surrounding walls were stripped back, patched, and replastered where damaged. All frames were raked out and repointed with fresh silicone mastic sealant, and door stops were fitted across the flat.
Every room was redecorated with two coats of emulsion to ceilings and walls, plus an undercoat and gloss on all previously painted surfaces. Radiators were removed, serviced, and refixed. New softwood skirting was fitted throughout, and door stops were installed across the property.
