Project at a glance

The brief

Edith Grove is a five-flat refurbishment running across a single building. Each flat goes through the same end-to-end process — strip-out, rebuild, and final finish — so that every unit lands at the same consistent standard at handover.

Working across five flats in parallel means tight sequencing and one point of contact throughout. Photos for each flat are added below as the work progresses.

Flat 1

A full top-to-bottom transformation. We took the flat back to a clean shell, replaced tired finishes throughout, and rebuilt every room — new kitchen, fully retiled bathroom, fresh plaster, and a crisp neutral decoration that lifts the natural light across the whole flat. Worn carpets and dated fittings gave way to hard-wearing flooring and modern ironmongery, ready for the next tenancy.

Flat 2

Heavy wear from years of use meant a complete refit. Kitchen units, worktops, and appliances were swapped for a clean modern set; the bathroom was stripped and retiled top to bottom with a new suite and shower; and every floor was lifted and finished with engineered planks. Walls were re-plastered where needed and finished in a warm off-white to brighten the rooms.

Flat 3

Tired finishes and dated fittings gave way to a sharper, brighter look. We upgraded the joinery, fitted modern ironmongery throughout, installed new flooring across the living spaces, and finished with a clean neutral palette that opens the rooms up. The bathroom was reworked with a contemporary suite, and lighting was repositioned to make better use of every room.

Flat 4

Damp damage and ageing services needed full attention. After remedial work and re-plastering, we re-routed plumbing where required, installed a new bathroom suite, and refreshed the kitchen with new cabinetry, splashback, and task lighting. The whole flat was redecorated end to end and brought back to a clean, move-in standard.

Flat 5

The final unit was finished to the same consistent standard as the rest of the building. New kitchen and bathroom, full re-decoration in a warm neutral scheme, fresh floor coverings throughout, and a careful snag pass on every detail — doors, skirting, sockets, sealant lines. Everything checked, cleaned, and handed over ready to let.
